Where can I find some interesting mosaic tiles for bathroom floors?
I came across this beautiful mosaic tile design by a French atelier Suzanne Manufacture. I am based in England and creating an ensuite in my loft and thought it would be nice to have something quirky like this. I tried to look at the usual sellers: Mandarin, Topps, Porcelainosa etc. and didn't come across options like these. Does anyone have suggestion of a U.K. seller?

Comments (14)I am a tiler so its in my interest to persuade people to fit more tiles but I agree with the other people who are questioning why you want to do this. You can transform the room with wall paper as Kerosis suggests and if you tire of that in a few years it is easy to remedy. I always point out to people that tiles are put on the wall as a practical durable easy to clean surface and therefore it is often not necessary to put them everywhere. If you do decide to fit tiles then you should remove the paint on the walls 1st as that was only ever designed to hold itself on the walls and it doesn't matter how brilliantly your adhesive hangs onto that paint if the extra load causes the paint bond to fail then your tiles will no longer be bonded to the wall (no such problem with lightweight wallpaper :-) Terry the tiler...See MoreBathroom floors - porcelain floor tiles or vinyl floor tiles?
Comments (18)Porcelain is a tough tile which will not crack or break easily. they are very long lasting. vinyl is out dated and just doesn't look good. Your other option should be ceramic tiles. So it should be between ceramic and porcelain. I'd still recommend porcelain but ceramic is cheaper, that's the biggest advantage of ceramic. Comments (15)the original plan was between sink and mirror EXACTLY imetre and then a STRIP above the mirror to the ceiling but the builder says you won't see it so high up as it's tiles up to 2 40 metres. 5 months agoI used to be a mosaic artist in a former life (see mirror below). Each individual swimmer is hand cut and the tiles would be porcelain or glass. The labour involved is hard to describe so it's a costly project to commission. You could buy variagated mosaic tiles that would glisten and glint and give a beautiful faceted effect. They'r'e still widely available and look classic.
