Beautiful room, no wonder you are pleased. If you’re looking to buy bedside tables how about curved ones to echo the bath and this range from Made also has a chest that may fit behind your door. They come in various sizes an finishes. When I saw the white chest squeezed in behind the door I thought a floor lamp or narrow bureaux may look better there but perhaps you need the storage? Can I ask why you left one alcove without drawers? How about a couple of sheepskin rugs either side of the bed or a couple of smaller textured round rugs? The plant looks good there so I vote for it to stay but give it a good feed! A tall stool would be handy close to the bath for necessities. And may I ask, do you have floor lights behind the bath?

For king size beds, you’d normally go for 300x200. I’ve got that but mine is pulled under the bed a bit more than shown so as not to intrude on the fire hearth. You could downsize, however by eye it looks as if it might reach the plinth? I just put 4 strips of masking tape on the ”corners” to mark it out before ordering.

Is the plinth actually curved as i might be tempted to put a nice bath mat there, there are loads around.

What style do you actually like? Are you wanting to go for modern french to go with the bed or something else?

Thank you @bettyboo and @minnie101! I probably won't go for bedside tables as there isn't a lot of space between the bed and the drawers that are built-in. But I do want something to stand alongside the bath so that I can put a book/glass of wine/cake! alongside it whilst in it :-) .Any ideas? I did wonder about one of those little gold/metal cocktail table stands but then thought it was a bit twee?

The rug I think needs to be fairly neutral as there is a lot going on in the room with the bath and the dark colour but I really do want advice and ideas as to what to use so all ideas gratefully received!

I feel as though the room needs something to provide a little bright flash of colour somewhere. Chest of drawers behind the door, or in the alcove under the shelves, is needed to store toiletries, day to day clothing etc, bed linen etc. so I'm looking for that. I left the alcove as imagined I'd put something in there... it was a while ago we were making those decisions so tbhk could have been for a random reason I can't now recall!

I do have floor lights behind the bath bettyboo - 3 little ones, tbh, they are a little too close to the bath to be as effective as I wanted them, but they provide extra lighting for that area.

The plinth has a bit of a curve but probably more like a shallow angle. I'm not tied to any particular style - the room feels like a more glam version of an industrial vibe, but I know the bed is french-style. Something clever to pull it together?

By the way, the space behind the door, storage needs to be lower than 110 due to the restricted ceiling height, no longer than 110 and no deeper than max 45cm otherwise the door won't open properly :-)

Will a chair fit in front of the window? I like the modern rattan one to go with the chest but the fabric one is nice, just a bit more traditional.

I’ve added a rust throw but would also layer it with a linen one in the headboard colour. It’s hard to pick art for people but I liked the colour combination, you could pick up a little more of the colours for accessories. The 2nd to last pic is showing a rug just to add texture. Rather than a cocktail trolley, a glass table for next to the bath? I do think a plant like a kentia palm somewhere on the plinth would break up the ”orange” tones a little to give more focus to the bath
