I am seekign help and advice on designing Storage space & Warrobes in both my kids rooms, they are both between 5-8 yrs right now and look forwrd to a space that serves them well for next few years. I plan to have single beds in both rooms or may be a Queen size bed. Both room must hv a study table / desk alongwith book shelf and space for their things. In both rooms I would consider table on North & East walls and wardrobes with sliding doors. Look forward to your suggests please :)

Hi, not sure why the alcove near the bed can’t have ceiling height wardrobes? Are you worried that the wardrobe will hit the bed, is that the problem? Maybe sliding doors would be better? I had fitted wardrobes installed by Sharpes, and the salesman was really helpful in configurating how it should all fit, including an awkward stair box area. He really knew his stuff. Am very pleased with the wardrobes, all built bespoke by an amazing carpenter. We were very impressed! Hopefully you will get lots of advice on here, and maybe you should get some companies/carpenters in to measure and quote. Mine cost just over £3000 for 6 and a half doors, rails, shelving etc.

Turned a spare room in a barn conversion into a multi use space. Storage for shoes / coats etc with a nice open display in 2 areas in oak to give a nice contrast against the blue. Low level bench to sit at to put shoes on or just sit back and enjoy the space. Really enjoyed making this project fully designed and made by myself from start to finish.
