i would put a sideboard to the right of the door. It needs to be a little smaller than the one in the 2nd image to give some breathing space between the wall, i like the rattan in the first. I’m not keen on the table lamp in the 2nd, something like the first. Move your plant to the left of the door. If you’re keen on panelling, consider behind the tv ( if you’ve got one). A large natural fibre basket would provide more storage for small toys

Our tv is in the corner I will attach a pic , there’s not much of a wall behind it for panelling ….

Yes I could remove the art on the left then move my plant across and then get some square tile pics iv wanted to get a while for a photo wall :)

Since the room already feels quite dark, I wouldn’t fill both walls with lots of small frames or decorative pieces — that could make the space feel even busier.

On the main blank wall, I’d use one large mirror rather than several small ones. If it can catch some of the light from the window, it will also help brighten that side of the room. On the wall near the plant, I’d keep it simpler: either a slim console with a table lamp or a good floor lamp, depending on how much space you need to keep free for the children.

I’d also add another layer of warm lighting rather than relying mainly on the ceiling light. In a darker living room, that can change the atmosphere much more than simply adding more wall décor.
