Sideboard dillema

Trying to bring the living room together and can't decide on the sideboard console. Attached in the pic of the living room with the current furniture and layout. On one side is the conservatory and bay window on the opposite to conservatory. There is a black piano in the conservatory (behind the small neutral sofa). I have tried to put together few sideboards with the sofa and accessories. Please suggest

- if a sideboard would be better or a large console

- If sideboard, which one goes better with the furniture on one of the walls next to fireplace (by the small neutral sofa)

- does the rug go well or should I change to another patterned one?

I think I prefer the lighter sideboard out of those. This is just AI so ignore some of the specific details as it takes too long to change!

It’s a large room, I think I’d have pieces either side of the fireplace (bring the chair into the room a little more). I think I’d prefer a patterned rug but assuming you can’t return it, I’d keep it. However can it go under the big sofa by a few inches? i always think it looks better with a gap between the hearth and rug. Add a rust cushion on the big sofa

Thank you so much @minnie101 for the visuals - it helps so much. I can return the rug and can get a patterned one. Was thinking of neutral with some earthy pattern one and you are correct, moving it away from hearth will make it look better too. I am also attaching the pic of how the room looks like from the other side. Any thoughts or changes? I do need to get the curtains but that’s next on the list once other accessories are sorted.

You’re welcome. Now I've seen the room from the other side, it’s a little narrower than i thought. Just thinking a console may work better. What do you think of this one? Very classical but it’s got quite q modern elegant leg

I’ve added the JC consoles. I think a modern persian rug would work well with your furniture and have a large plant next to the bay

Sorry, I’m having AI issues. The

2nd pic shows consoles the right size but they should not be so close to the fire and the plant in a random place lol

Great work with the visuals Minnie! I prefer the two smaller, lighter sideboards, one each side of the fireplace. I don’t think console tables work here.

@minnie101 The visuals give me a great idea on difference sideboards vs console for this space. What are your thoughts on some of these and styles. I am also thinking of incorporating TV one side of the fireplace, do you think would work and if i should go with standard console or low media unit? Thanks so much in advance
