Could we see some more pics of the room?

Yep her stuff is out of mine, did I tell you that before? She was suppose to move into the house and it fell through the day before so all her things bar sofa and bed had to be stored in mine( she got the keys 6days later though). All the upstairs is getting painted just now so they have stored everything in this long living room just now. I've got a HNC in interior architecture but I liked the technical side more and was also worrying of jobs( doesn't seam to be a lot of jobs in Glasgow for interior design) so I swapped to doing architectural technology, this is my 2nd year doing this course so HND, see how this year goes and either take a job at technician or go into 3rd year at uni for same course. I can't draw at all, all done con computer with cad/ sketch up/ and now Revit but I'm hopeless at that just now,, I can trace though lol

Grey! This will make your home look more contemporary. I agree with David you could look at a more robust roof such as an orangery so you still get the light but a more sturdy structure. You can get some very trendy design which don't need to cost the earth, It will be easier to keep clean too. Our glass conservatory was a little tricky to clean. You may wish to think of snow guards to the guttering too. We had a house years back with a lovely conservatory but no snow guard. Not sure of your geographical placement but could be worth considering. The other thing to consider is if you will have the same colour on the inside - SORRY if you haven't thought that far ahead yet. Most window companies off RAL colours and the charts are easy to get hold of or borrow. Good luck. you must let us know what you decide.

Congratulations on your purchase. It looks like a lovely space to make your own.  How little is your girl?  One thing I've learned is that empty open spaces are not necessarily immediately conducive to kids play. They like hiding themselves and things behind things (trees, bushes, flowers, dens, playhouses). The series of rooms / zones thing could really work.  The big hits all the kids I know are water play and a swing. Water play could be a tray or a raised table somewhere. Or a mud kitchen. And of course the classic summer paddling pool and jumping over the sprinkler.  Could you fit a swing in somewhere? Maybe a pergola attached to the garden office? It can be  a baby swing seat to begin with and then turn into a stylish boho rope seat suitable for older kids and teenagers. Once girls get older,  the stats show that most do not do as much physical exercise. They do seem to like trampolining though- and it's fantastic exercise! Do think about where one could go in the future (including the dug in type).
