I'm choosing tiles (or splashback) for the wall behind the sink and then also possibly the wall in front of the window that looks out to the garden. I was thinking to put those rectangle tiles in grey with a slightly white sheen so they link with the white worktop.
But then wondered if I ought to link in the wood that we have in several places in the room and go for something with brown in. We'd like to keep costs down but appreciate that the choice of tile/splashback could really make the room special.
Floor tiles are grey, units are marine blue, worktop is white with flecks of marble (composite laminate) and the island is Oak. We also have natural wood window sills and cupboards with strip of black and wood and a large oak table.
Any ideas? There's no hob to consider as it is on the island. Thanks very much for any help
EDIT: The dishwasher space does have a marine blue door but we are waiting to buy integrated later - and making do with the existing machine for now.
