My dining room has a galley kitchen on the left hand side and a walk through arch to a living room extension with roof light, but between the dining area and the living room is a strange space that the previous owners had designated a 'bar' area. We have two kids aged 11 and 13 and don't need a bar area! It has a sink, a mini fridge and cupboard space. It also currently houses a dishwasher which is completely impractical and will be moved into the kitchen. It sits opposite a cupboard housing the boiler and water tank and cleaning kit. I had thought to change this space to a double desk area but it is in a really busy zone - between the living room with TV and the dining area and kitchen. Can anyone suggest what else it could be turned into? It can't even really be a quiet 'book nook' as it is so near the TV. Thanks for any responses/ideas.
