We have recently taken on a 1920’s semi. We are re jigging the downstairs, plans have been approved by building control and B we were good to go. However, the old dining room (middle room) has revealed an original fireplace which I cannot bear to rip out. I am now thinking we keep the room, use pocket doors to connect it to the kitchen/diner and turn it into a club room with a bar and club chairs so I can drink martinis and learn to do the Charleston!! I am thinking we sneak the utility along side the boiler and water tank cupboards but where would the best place be to put the cloakroom.
