We have recently taken on a 1920’s semi. We are re jigging the downstairs, plans have been approved by building control and B we were good to go. However, the old dining room (middle room) has revealed an original fireplace which I cannot bear to rip out. I am now thinking we keep the room, use pocket doors to connect it to the kitchen/diner and turn it into a club room with a bar and club chairs so I can drink martinis and learn to do the Charleston!! I am thinking we sneak the utility along side the boiler and water tank cupboards but where would the best place be to put the cloakroom. Have attached the original layout and the approved plans and the fireplace discovery! Thank you so much all xx
