After going through the same dilemma, we are so happy we went with bifolds. They open out the whole space whereas sliding doors still leave you with some glass (a doors width). Well worth the extra money. Of course if you only have a small opening then perhaps double opening french doors would be better than sliding doors.

We've just paid the deposit on some grey external/white internal aluminium bifolds. Managed to find a company who had one on display so got to have a good feel for how it all worked. I couldn't bring myself to buy one that I'd not seen! It's just a shame very few companies who sell them have showrooms, out of the 8 I rang only two could show me their product!

Hi, The grey doors on the end, are they bifolds? I think if you match the style of these then it will look great. I don't mind mixing modern with traditional and actually it may look better to match the grey rather than leaving those end doors as the odd ones out. Do what suits your interior style.
