Comments (145)I voted for the parquet flooring. We have a small hall with one that we have tried to renovate that is quite dark. I was impressed with the various colours they were able to show, quite beautiful especially the lighter coloured greyish overtones on one particular photo....See MoreNeed help for my small living/dining room with awkward layout
Comments (10)Hi. It's hard to tell if this will work as I can't tell the door width but what if you were to build a ŵall to wall bookcase on the desk ŵall incorporating both the tv and radiator? Ignore the design of this one, was just showing a pic of one against a window, You may need to widen the pillar by the dining room entrance slightly. Perhaps ammonite by F&B for the ŵalls with a floor that picks up one of the tones in the table. I'd also paint the coving in the ammonite and a darker shade of grey for the bookcase. Have a 6ft sofa (allowing for side table and lamp) opposite the bookcase (not against the ŵall) with a chair angled in front of the bookcase and perhaps go for an upholstered stool on legs as per your inspiration pic. You could use Romans on the windows, maybe in a vertical stripe and then use geo patterns for the cushions. Re lights I'd add ŵall lights to the bookcase and a flush for the living room, preferably just 7 inches high. You can afford to hang something lower over the dining table. Are you keeping the tall cabinet? I think your current table will look lovely with some upholstered chairs...See MoreNeed help with dual room(1. open plan kitchen/dining 2. living room)
Comments (1)Hello nehajo, You have an amazing blank canvas so some questions to help: And there are soo many interior styles so some questions to help: What is your style ? if you are not sure then What colour is the sofa and the style. Do you have a photo? What are the other furniture do you have ? Any photos ? Do you like colours pastels or brights ? What are your favourite colours ? Do you have a favourite shirt, skirt, jumper that has a pattern or style to it? photo please. Do you have a picture or photos that have a coloured frame ? What colour? Do you like plants ? or you have any already ? Are their any sentimental objects ? what is it, description ? What is the rug you want to buy is there a pic of it ? Are you thinking of some sort of fire, faux stove, or a TV for a focal point in the room ? Do you want to have a workspace in the area too? Oh do you have kids if yes then storage for toys etc if older storage for games consoles, games ? MMMmmmI think that is it to start. Cheers :)...See MoreLiving room layout
Comments (6)I was also thinking similar to above. Having a light, airy view to the outside is scientifically proven to have positive benefits to mental wellbeing so a ‘garden room’ style seating area is a great idea, providing year round health benefits to you and your family, in particular during winter when exposure to natural daylight can be limited. It also is a great way to keep the family in harmonious and contented ‘togetherness’ while providing space for individual activity. Perhaps consider having some bespoke storage made with the radiator cover incorporated into it to create a feature wall for treasured photographs, nick-nacks, books, household storage, or whatever you might need to make the space special, multifunctional and relaxing. Lastly, if it’s at all possible, have you considered moving the door? You’d have to measure up and check what is feasible but this could increase your seating capacity in the main seating area, while still giving you the luxury to do something special with the ‘garden room’ space. Best of luck with your project :-)...See More- last month
