Help ideas needed!

Well I bought these 2 baskets for storage but I don't really know what I could fill them up with don't really want to put random stuff in there but any ideas?? As you can see I've put pink stuff in the purple basket and purple in the pink want to keep it that way please:)

What room are these for? And will they be visible or in cabinets? Put like with like - all hair things in one basket, all make up in another, all jewelry, all medicines, all cookware, etc

I would keep those baskets for soiled laundry they look like they are too large for keeping things like the ones that you have in there ,it will be very difficult finding things when you are looking trough a full basket ,keep those in smaller baskets.

Have you thought of rearranging the furniture so the tv isn't the focal point? Furniture against walls can make a room appear smaller. If the budget permits I would add a coffee table to bring furniture into the middle of the room. I would also add a mirror to the dining area to bounce light and maybe install a low hanging pendant light over the table. I would also choose a neutral coloured rug as using a single colour for an item becomes the focal point. Grey is a good modern neutral for walls. If you want to use paper on a smaller wall choose a small pattern that won't date unless you don't mind repapering to keep it up to date. There are some really fantastic papers around at the moment such as chinoiserie, bold contemporary and typography but it depends on your preferred style? Maybe use plain (not patterned as this may date or your taste will change) velvet or silk curtains to soften the room. Use different colours and textures for the accessories to avoid block colours as per comment above. Pattern/interest can also be added in the form of wall art.

I wonder whether a courtyard style garden would suit the site? Of course if you have children then you will probably need some grass. You need a patio in the sunny area and make sure you leave borders all around for planting. On the sunny fence I think planting Roses, Clematis and Star Jasmine will green it up nicely. You can underplant with sun loving Lavender, Cistus and hardy Geraniums. You could also plant shade loving climbers up the garage side walls, my favourite is climbing Hydrangea. I can see a few slabs outside the house so you could extend that patio out as on very hot days it’s nice to have a bit of shade. These are a few ideas CLIMBING HYDRANGEA STAR JASMINE - SMELLS DIVINE!

You could extend up the stair walls. Fitting a door at the top of the steps will need some kind of adjustment I would think.

Thank you I like your idea. One thing I had considered is having a large pantry (smaller than the play / office) you have drawn then a small seating area at the side of the kitchen. The living room would be a play / family room and u would open uo the dinning room and what you have marked as the lobby.
