Can you please provide the manufacturer of the Pocket Door system?

We have a similar situation, and planning on pocket doors to the bath. Someone warned me they can be noisey. Do you know the manufacturer of the pocket door system?

Hi , we recently had renovation done to the bedroom upstairs and have made an ensuite and installed a pocket door which we bought the kit from eclipse.it looks great now but the only problem was the builder found it s bit tricky to install it and despite showing him the youtube videos it was a mission for him. He got it at the end and it looks good.

We get asked this question a lot, and that is why we sell integrated or integral blinds which are totally enclosed within the glass cavity of the double glazed unit, and are available for most of the doors and windows we sell. They can be manually or electrically operated, are available in a range of colours, and have Venetian or pleated versions. They can be closed for complete privacy, opened to any angle for different shading or raised up almost completely out of the way. Aside from enclosing all the working parts (safe for toddlers), they enhance the thermal efficiency of the unit they are enclosed within and will never need cleaning! You can upgrade existing doors and windows, although if you are purchasing new, ask your supplier about Uni-blinds Integral Blinds beforehand.

Hi Ruth I'm in Northamptonshire, but i travel all over the place so distance isn't really an object. With the pocket doors i use, they're made to order based on the door size and how much you want of the door sticking out when its folded back ie for handles etc. In the above kitchen my customer wanted all their doors the same width as they had a bank of appliance towers so i had the larder cabinet made to suit the doors which would suit most instances. You have to basically cut out a hole in the wall that is as wide as two doors, then install the pocket door framework which can come in a kit form - one half then gets covered with plasterboard so that it is inside the wall, as the pocket where the door slides into when you open the door. The bit around the actual door then needs finished to whatever specification you want - usually with framing etc that a 'normal' door has. Depends on the construction of your current wall though - whether it's load-bearing and therefore you'll need some sort of beam to support the wall above. Or if it would be simpler to box out the rest of the wall rather than cut out a massive hole - in this case the room would get a bit smaller. If you are cutting a hole in a modern stud wall then it won't affect the size of the room. Door handles need to be considered carefully as you need something flat that can fit into the 'pocket' and you also need a fitting on the visible edge of the door to pull it out of the pocket again to close it.
