Neutrals, bold colours, all white or pastels?
Comments (7)Hello Ocean, Colour whether paint or paper can have such an impact... It then requires layers, texture.... Being equally versatile in either lighter schemes or those of the darker side, I do like creating rich and unique, dramatic as they are serene for my "Curated Spaces" In both cases lighter or darker.. they need unique finds, interesting arrangements that take them into personal territory. That which makes a home unique, interesting and altogether more sophisticated.. It's not about a darker colour and a "Pop" of bright colour either. It's rather more than that, it's something that feels developed and worked on over time.. even if it hasn't! This is what can take an interior from show home to spectacular home... So personally I'm after dramatic, beautiful, spectacular homes that are either dark or light depending on the required... In all cases they're bold! : ))...See MoreAre you willing to go bold with your radiator?
Comments (1)I like when radiator is less visible in interior. In this case it looks something rather practical than just radiator. I would not mind any colour if only it goes well with design idea....See MoreLooking for inspiration ! Bold colour?
Comments (36)Hi Simone, Im so happy to hear you liked the boards (its so much fun creating amazing spaces!) It really depends on how much space you have, how big the chairs are and also if you do end up adding joinery around the fireplace. From what I have seen of your lovely living room, I feel more inclined to go half way with the joinery to create a feeling of space and not to clutter the upper half of the room. A bit like this... Can you see how the top half is filled in with a mirror (if you liked this you could just have two free hanging mirrors - not built in like the ones in this image), but I would definitely build-in the joinery below with the thick shelving as per the image. It adds a nice place for items in a neat way and doesn't feel too oppressive when sitting in the chairs. When it comes to how many chairs to buy - you will need to prioritise how you use the space. Do you often require space for 5-6 people in your living room? You could have two in the "bay" (check sizes though - you don't want them to feel cramped!!) or one larger chair either side of the Wandsworth. Perhaps get two cardboard boxes around 70 x 80 x 80cm and move them around to see if you would like chairs in those spaces. (That is a big chair by the way) I hope that helps? Comments (26)kevnick80 I am trying to find the right intense blue. I've currently used Sanderson's Sea Blue but the one I wish I had used, and which I found after I'd painted the room, is Abigail Aherne's Bowery Blue. I've put a spread of it on a wall, next to a spread of the one I've used to compare them, and it's richer but brighter and very intense. I will paint over the Sanderson one as soon as I've got the energy. Here's the Bowery Blue - if you put your cursor on the paint colour you see it with good lighting which is, of course, important with dark colours; mirrors make a difference, too: https://abigailahern.com/search?q=bowery+blue...See MoreMonarch Sofas
