Comments (5)What a lovely space to work with! I also like your colors and your furniture. My suggestion would be to divide your dining and living room space by using a black,( antique or distressed finish) to tie in the rough brick in your living room)) low and narrow wooden bench with chunky legs behind your sofa. I would place 3 large containers to hold tall and yellowish-green plants on top, such as tall grasses and lower-growing grasses; straight -growing plants. The plant containers might include one outstanding tall tubular container, one large but lower bowl-like container, and one smaller but quirkily-shaped container with a vine-like plant. I see your containers varying from charcoal to black , clear glass, and colored glass. That's one thought for the elements to put on the bench. The other thought is a very modern arcing desk-top-style light so that you could have light to read over the sofa. Then, you could add plants and their containers accordingly....See MoreLounge / Dining room layout help - Please :)
Comments (10)Hello, Mark! I'm Gabriela, a designer from Akiva Projects. First of all, you really have great ideas for your lounge/dining room! I don't see why not leave the fireplace where it is now and still do what you want - a false chimney breast built with an electric fire and TV built into it. By doing that you would have an advantage on your side: you will have the possibility of building a storage in the same wall of the fireplace using the thickness of the pillars that you have - a great way of blending them on the room! I really think that this could add value to your lifestyle. We offer a fantastic design service and would be happy to offer our advice. Comments (0)Hi, I have a walkway though my lounge to the conservatory it feels like a dirt track & driving me nuts My tv is too big to go in the bay window ( which i love) and we have tried moving the sofas to edges of the rug so one in front of conservatory and one on the rug side of the window but didn't look right and hated the space between the sofa and window and also didn't like the other sofa bang on the conservatory Any good ideas on how to arrange my room please The radiator is behind the sofa with the shelves on the wall...See Moredesign layout....need help with where we should have the living room
Comments (3)What is the orientation of the rooms? Consider the natural light levels in your design. Pocket doors between the two rooms are potentially a good idea to give you maximum versatility, subject to structural support considerations....See MoreMichelle Dee
