The simplicity of no rug works better in my opinion. Adding the additional pattern of the rug is a bit too much with everything else. Hope that helps and looks great!

Oh no, how annoying. Sometimes they do get stuff back in pretty quickly. Yeah, the other one is great but 12k is a little steep! The other one you may like as its a bit different to the moroccan quatrefoils/geometric ones is this one from very.co.uk (Marrakech rug). It is navy though and only 3/5* reviews

Also like traditional rugs, and i think using them just brings the same rules as any other. If using a specific rug, you need to build the room around it, and use colours in the rug as Forzaitalia says. So with the navy base you would have navy, maybe a bit of pale beige / to lighten, I think you may struggle a little to tie in your amrchairs as they are very bright, and the colour dominating, plus it's a colour that isn't in either rug. Personally I would say that if you want to work with the rugs, then i'd change the armchairs for a neutral colour. I too would go for the second rug as it's easier to work with and a bit less dated. However, yellow and blue will not work with that rug.

I'm gonna have to also agree. There are a lot of nice, but active elements in the design as is, and I think they fill the room just fine.

I back no rug too - and may I make another suggestion, budget permitting? Consider getting lined AND interlined Roman blinds instead of curtains for the window. It's a very tall room but seemingly a bit "chimney-like" because of its proportions. The tall thin curtains reinforce that feeling. Some wall mounted shelves from IKEA would be a great replacement for the somewhat random bookcase too. Rug might work then with a blind and wall-mounted shelving.....

No rug - much neater - and also consider black-out roller blind - available in many colours, including silver. Makes the window look sleek and uncluttered. Have you any photos what you have done?

In this case, probably no rug. If you were going for a rug at all it'd be best to have one that goes all the way under your bed to the back wall and covers either side and the footer. Like this: http://www.madaboutthehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/rug-layout-bed.002-e1452447544444.jpg

Otherwise it doesn't look 'intentional' enough. I hope this helps!
