Bathroom tiling advice needed please. thanks in advance :)
Comments (5)The tile for the wall with the effect is called Himalaya grey, I also have a Himalaya anthracite which is a bit darker. The tiles for the floor which you said looks like has a blue tone is called 'bran grey', I also have a darker grey tile in the same series. I will attach pics again, please advise on which combinations will work. himalaya grey with the darker grey option for floor. Himalaya anthracite - darker version of above 4 choices for the floor, the bottom left being bran grey (which you think is blue tone, does it still look blue to you in this pic?) and the bottom right is the darker grey. Thanks a lot!...See MoreBathroom renovation in first home
Comments (4)We’re in the middle of having our bathroom done at the mo and ours is a similar size (although a little squarer) and same ceiling height. We previously had tile on the bath walls to just above the shower head (similar to your 3/4 idea) and then we had tile half way up the other walls, with boxing in under the window (also tiled) to windowsill height to give a usable shelf. The 3/4 tile thing was ok but didn’t look brilliant. Your image looks fab but I think that’s because I think it’s quite a bit taller than 2.7m! We are now going to tile to the ceiling on the bath walls and then not bothering on the other walls. Instead I’ve bought a vanity unit with an upstand and I’ve bought Little Greene Intelligent Matt emulsion for the walls as it’s supposed to be one of the best scrubbable paints for bathrooms (fingers crossed!). Just a thought - could you put the bath along the 1.8m wall where the sink and loo currently are? The shower valve could possibly be sunk into the wall opposite the window? Have you bought your shower and bath filler yet? It sounds exactly like what we’ve gone for. I think my plumber is currently cursing me as I type!!!...See MoreQuick question: hallway wall & ceiling colour(s) please?
Comments (10)Here's Little Sh*t looking highly unimpressed. In between coats, hence masking tape still around the doors. My sister - who disagrees with me on everything - doesn't like it. (She also wanted me to paint the woodwork, but it's oiled and I have just treated it again so paint would roll off. I don't have time to strip it all.) I tried the sage as most rooms off are white, cream, or similarly neutral. Thoughts? Should I have gone paler or darker, etc?...See MoreAdvice on colour highlights for white bathroom
Comments (5)Hi. I love your inspiration pictures and think the teal/ white/ wood colour scheme is a great idea. Personally I'd copy what they've done in those pictures. So.... I'd only tile half of the walls where you have your sink/ toilet and the wall with the radiator on it, and paint the wall above them in that beautiful teal colour As your cabinets are white, I'd introduce the wood part of the colour scheme in the flooring and by using the wooden accessories mentioned in your post For the grouting and taps....maybe if you used a pale-ish grey grout - the chrome taps would blend in with the white tiles a bit more and wouldn't stand out as being the main feature of the room? This would help the teal and wood accents stand out more. Good luck with whatever you decide, I'm sure it'll look lovely 😊...See MoreNancy Walton
