Styling and colour? help!
Comments (0)My new house is open plan leading from the kitchen to the living room. I have gone with grey as a base colour. I'm fairly happy with the outcome. I want to take it to the next level though and add some colour. I'm thinking to change the rug to a yellow or something... I've already got grey black and white In the room... Some ideas what I could put on the brick wall behind the sofa would be great help?? Or accessories... Any ideas would be a great help! I'm thinking of green or yellow as an accent colour?...See MoreHelp! Colour Scheme for Industrial Style Kitchen
Comments (9)Hello You are at the planning stages of your design, how exciting. Industrial is such a great look, when we design this type of scheme for our clients we like to mix industrial elements with period style. So crittal windows with Victorian style floor tiles. Or industrial light fittings mixed with squishy unpholstery pieces such as sofas and armchairs. This will help soften the overall aesthetic, which as you suggest can be hard if not balanced with softer elements. Take a look at some of our interiors projects for inspiration. Mixing period detailing and styles from different eras such as mid century, Scandinavean and 70's with classic industrial elements such as exposed bricks, metal detailing will give you a more interesting and original take on this style. Good luck with you project, Clare...See MoreNeed help with Scandi style furniture/colour scheme for living room
Comments (6)Hi, the space looks fantastic with those wooden stairs and rustic beams. I agree with the comment above about the sofa- would look and feel more comfy if you went for fully upholstered one. I think you could play with whites, greys, black and wood colours and chose one more to add: yellow, blue or even red/pink to fit your chair in. Whitewashed clay pots with green plants would add a lot of warmth as well: I am making oversized wooden clocks that could infuse your cottage with even more character, few examples and link to my website below: Peak Art Handmade Wall Clocks Anna...See MoreConservatory blinds help - which colour and style
Comments (2)White vertical blinds are strictly for office use (and even then they're dated). Go for the grey. Roman blinds are softer then roller blinds....See Morenathanbaxter89
