Curtain- can't decide
Comments (11)In my opinion both will work well. Roman blind or curtains on a contemporary pole which is exposed would both work to give a contemporary look. You need to add a touch of colour to brighten the space up a bit - through artwork, decorative items (e.g. vase, bowl etc) or runners on the table. You can opt for a variety of colours with the neutral grey - some ideas are purple, fuchsia, teal, yellow, orange. Good luck...See MoreCan't decide on paint colour for the kitchen
Comments (8)Go bolder with colour. I too have a white gloss kichen in my own home with a cement wotktop. It looks very very clinical, too clinical for my own taste to be honest but I'll have to put up with it for a while longer. grey walls might be ejust too cold What about a great strong blue on some of the walls, deep prussian, or a peacock blue. then play with some paler blue greys elsewhere. your choices of hard surfaces are a great foil for playing with colour. atomic red from little greene is an extraordinary colour that you could have fun with, bringing in a touch of mid century modern furniture. or picking up on the zeitgiest what about some delicate pale pinks and lilac tones. very calm and soft and totally on trend. mix with some copper tones and wooden pieces. lastly dont be afraid of pattern. a bonkers but fun wallpaper can make the space really interesting, kitchens are all to often left to be the work horses of the house and lack texture. wallpaper can do this. tie it all together with plain blind and curtains where needed in linens or slubby cottons. fell free to contact me directly if you are in the glasgow area or if you want a paint chart sent out...See MoreCan't decide what to do with our music room wall, help please!
Comments (22)Hi Philip You can hang on wall whatever you like i guess. I would start with a question, is your room soundproofing sorted? After the whole room sound insulation you can then put on wall number of different styles of acoustic panels. And make that way your own art. They are made flat poster look likes or textured like recording studios. I would start with that. Then there are many companies doing large prints so you can use your own photo or picture or notes to make your own personal wallpaper. Just an quick idea anyway:) Kind regards Radek...See MoreCan't decide whether to go bespoke or ikea pax wardrobes...
Comments (18)If you fit the frame flush to the wall and have sliding doors it is possible to adjust the door to one side ever so slightly to open it. However, if it was me, I would space the wardrobe out slightly and fit a filler piece of wood. Make sure to get the IKEA Pax wardrobe frames fully square and level or the doors may have to be adjusted to make them level which can result in them not opening fully. In turn this means that any internal drawers which you may or may not fit may catch against the sliding doors.
