Comments (12)We are a stove showroom that offers a supply and install package. Myself personally, I would go down the fire board the chamber route on the sides, square off the opening as the arch is small or just leave the arch brickwork exposed and split face oyster slate the back of the opening which will give you a nice light opening, the sides can then be painted a light colour. The hearth I would recommend something rustic such as an Indian stone which will tie in nicely with the oyster back. If you square off the opening this leaves you the option to install a beam or not. I have attached a picture of something like what I would recommend. The stove is a DG Ivar which at the minute is an extremely popular option....See MoreFireplace ideas for small place
Comments (2)Hi, A small bio ethanol grate would be perfect for this project. A bio fire basket gives you more flexibility and is the perfect solution for replacing your old redundant fire opening. They're easy to fit in, and can be used with any mantelpiece, with no chimney required, and comes in all different beautiful styles and sizes. We hope that helps, you can view our page for more fireplace ideas!...See MoreFireplace ideas please! (non active)
Comments (3)You could add a bioethanol fire: https://www.fireworld.co.uk/bio-ethanol-fires/imagin-fires-malvern-black-bioethanol-stove?ref=base&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3sz5_JqX3QIVLbvtCh13oA2gEAQYGyABEgI1DfD_BwE; https://www.imaginfires.co.uk/pembrey-bioethanol-fireplace?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7prAl5uX3QIVjp3tCh0s8QdlEAQYBCABEgK9G_D_BwE They are expensive but you can take it with you when you move. Alternatively, you could make a feature by adding candles or different size pots. Maybe also think about painting the fireplace wall a different colour - what other colours are in the room?...See MoreFireplace Ideas!!
Comments (6)It's in an odd place now for a fireplace. They need to have seating somewhere near, facing them to be a focal point. If you're not going to use it, then I can't really see the point of putting one in. How is the rest of the room arranged? You may be better off to make the whole thing an alcove storage area, up to window height....See MoreGeorgina W
