Comments (15)Thank you for your comment at @minnie101. I was pushing to get it painted before the sofas arrive but now you have got me thinking. Here are some pictures of the samples on the wall. The darkest is the f&b Hague blue. It is far darker than I want for the room. I’m thinking more calming minimalistic boho. Lots of plants and wood. I hate this room and really need help with it. I actually really like oval room blue too but thinking it won’t be dark or strong enough for a feature wall? Also looking for a tv unit don’t know whether to go dark oak mango or white and oak mixed. There is white furniture with wicker and a dark walnut chest that need to be worked in. First pic is morning last one is 8pm. I’m thinking that the stiffkey is my current favourite, I keep changing my mind whether I like the inchrya......See Moremake my room pretty - layout and decor ideas needed
Comments (33)Totally agree sam. There is a bit going on. My husband refuses to get go too technological so I’m trying to work it out. I need a tv unit/stand that will look good and hold a few dvds.we will not be buying anymore but the little girl loves looking through and choosing from her little selection. There are only around 15 tops. we may be able to replace the tv with a slimmer one but we are on a budget so a projector is out. Plus there is too much light from the window and I don’t like the look of over mantle TVs. Thoughts on a corner tv unit or slim long one? Here is another one I quite like but maybe a touch more storage would be nice?...See MoreBedroom help- too small to go to the dark side?!

Comments (7)What you have done is lovely, it just needs tweaking. How about placing one large, or two flat weave rugs in Aqua underneath your existing rug, which would soften the impact of the teal walls. Paint behind shelves in aqua, the graduation of one colour always help to tie a scheme together. Could you gather objects in groups on the shelves, in threes and in different heights and leave some breathing spaces between? (There are tutorials on this subject!) Search for a few vases/ornaments in key colours. An different style armchair together with your little side tables in the bay window could be a Reading Nook, would make the room feel larger. A patterned one with some ochre/yellow and a plain cushion would warm up the room. Agree about the mirror, large, round and gold/brass would liven and warm up the room, the width of fireplace if possible. As others have commented, wood and metal (natural) elements help to ground a room. I think you are nearly there…well done!...See MoreChristelle
