I don't think £9k is a small amount, but then having done many a kitchen as a property developer, we're used to shopping around. I'd buy Wickes ( January sale ), the cabinets are very well made and have a very good guarantee on them. The doors too. They have a good range with the exception possibly of the worktops. Personally I find, having tried probably all trade kitchens, magnet, howdens, ( get a trade kitchen fitter to cost it if you find one you like - they get huge discounts -seriously, up to 70-80% ), B&Q also have trade cards and there's always Homebase etc - The kitchens are lovely and I think there's just a load of snobbery around 'where you bought the kitchen from'. Get savvy and buy Trade! The worktops i'd to an independent. ( only if you can't find one in one of the above ) - otherwise you have the layout for two lots of labour. You don't need flashy Taps ( Taps are minefield ), Use the internet if you're budgeting! I wouldn't buy an American Fridge Freezer, if my daughter's is anything to go by then it's an oversized, unused food store! All it seems to do for her is encourage to buy more as it looks empty and then doesn't get used! Integrate.................better for the visuals especially in a small kitchen. If you want free standing, then buy a normal sized Fridge Freezer The last one we did, even Wickes could not beat the price of the appliances compared to Curry's. So shop online for those too and look for discount codes.

depends on the size of the doors you can get for the tower- for a standard 1970 tall tower i'd have a 450 door at the bottom and a 320 door at the top, both these door sizes are pretty common nowadays. that puts the bottom oven at 600mm from the floor (with 150mm plinth) and the top oven is about 1200mm from the floor which are both workable heights. if the doors are available in made to measure sizes (as yours are) i'd ask the customer what position they'd like the ovens to be at and make the doors and tower accordingly. has the tower been made upside down?

I have a double Neff oven. Don’t really use both ovens at the same time so could have opt for a single oven. However, I'm not happy with it and wouldn’t have another. When baking it cooks more on the left hand side than the right. I also know several customers of ours who also have Neff ovens and theirs does exactly the same. It is infuriating when baking cakes to have the difference in colour. You’ve already sampled the Neff though and were satisfied with it. If I were to choose favourite manufacturers I would put Miele top of my list (and boy you pay for it, but their products are excellent). I would then rate AEG as a close second. Definitely in front of Neff and Bosch. I started out with an AEG induction hob which lasted the normal 8-10 years. Was a great hob. Replaced it with a Bosch one which wasn’t anywhere as good. As we are replacing the worktops I decided to swap the Bosch hob for an AEG again and glad I did. They have the edge in technology IMO. While it’s not the hob you’re referring to I’m just explaining my preference for a specific manufacturer. We attend the kitchen exhibition show every other year at the NEC and have never been disappointed looking on the AEG stand to see what innovative ideas they have introduced to insert into their new products.

Hi, we did our kitchen recently and had a coloured glass splashback with the cooker extraction hood which was angled. from the bottom and out more at the top. Nobody has hit their head which is always an issue with cooker hoods lets face it, also there is no loss of function. We have a large kitchen and the hood still manages to shut the door on high power!. Our our walls are white but the hood was black, some of the hoods can be painted a contrasting colour to match your surrounding tiling/glass/paint. This is what we did. Either way good luck with the reno.
