replacing tiles in shower area
Comments (8)I never thought about changing the tiles behind the sink area to start in a corner- that’s a good idea! I am looking to replace the sink as well with a wall hung vanity unit to give more storage. I’ve realised that the new shower will extend forward a couple of centimetres from the existing one so hopefully it might fall on the ‘join’ line if we decide to retile just that area. Thanks for the tip re replacing all the grout...See MoreSourcing Shower Tray with 3 Upstands

Armed with modern sealers I think most installers would think the upstand unnecessary....See Morelayout advice - corner entry shower
Comments (8)Hi 88wj88, Thanks for your reply and advice. If we had space for 1200x900 offset quadrant then that would be my first choice as the space would be amazing and access good. The current sink sits over the stair bulk head which limits who long the shower can be or less we raised the shower 30cm :-( We stood in quadrants that are 900 x 900 or 1000 x 900 and we found as you stand forward the width drops off quickly and our current shower is wider when 76 from thr wall. With the corner entry as shown in the photo, with the doors open I think this should provide more drying space than current layout and compared to a quadrant as the corner has been removed. I would like a wall mounted toilet but the stud wall is only 5cm so would need to have a piece of fitted furniture to hide the cistern which would make the toilet project further into the room.
