Comments (16)A belated THANK YOU to everyone who commented. This is the final result. We're super happy with it. Room A north facing "through-lounge" in a new build, 3 bed semi detached house Paint Walls: Purbeck Stone, Farrow & Ball Ceiling: Strong White, Farrow & Ball By the way, the room isn't as long and skinny as it looks in the photos. Painting it all one colour actually made it feel much, much larger. We were really impressed with the quality of advice the F&B staff gave us in regards to colour. We loved Purbeck Stone from the minute we saw it, and being brave really paid off....See MoreArtwork/prints for bare walls
Comments (23)You have a lovely and tasteful space! I do agree with Camilla that large bold painting would look great as well as add a contemporary touch. For example something like this (with frame matching the table or the chairs and a satin gloss finish of the painting): Get in touch If you would like me to send any suggestions!...See MoreI want to renovate my bedroom with new sofa and curtains

Comments (5)Hi James, you've asked three separate questions about what I think is the same room. No problem with number of threads but rather than thinking / asking "what should I do with THIS wall", it's much better to look at the room as a whole. Clear everything out of the room that really shouldn't be there like clothes airers and football kit (dogs and cats can stay...), then take a photo of each wall from as far back as possible. Including the floor in the photo is more useful than the ceiling. Add close ups of anything important like a fire. Quick sketch of the room is useful if it isn't obvious how the wall photos join up. Mark radiators and window on the sketch. Mention things that HAVE to stay, and others that can go or be replaced. Then you might get more relevant advice...See MoreSpace Alchemy Interior Design
