Magnolia with grey feature wall (Bedroom)??
Comments (20)Personally I would not pair grey with magnolia, consider looking at a different colour to contrast with...to emphasise and bring out the undertones in the grey. Or you could paint the room a mid grey, and use a feature wallpaper behind the bed to add impact. Also be warned that you need to know what undertone is in the grey to know what it will pair well with! Good luck look forward to seeing the results! If it was my room, I think I'd paint the room in a mid grey and do a feature wall behind the bed with a patterned wallpaper that references the grey - some examples attached - http://eu.farrow-ball.com/drag-dr-1283/drag/farrow-ball/fcp-product/201283 Or http://eu.farrow-ball.com/drag-dr-1280/drag/farrow-ball/fcp-product/201280 or I love the drama in this http://www.cole-and-son.com/en/collection-curio/wallpaper-107/3016/ would work with a dark grey room.... http://www.cole-and-son.com/en/collection-curio/wallpaper-107/4017/... http://www.cole-and-son.com/en/collection-geometric/wallpaper-93/7026/, http://www.cole-and-son.com/en/collection-geometric/wallpaper-93/7025/ Tailor your soft furnishings then to complement any colours that come through in your wallpaper feature....See MorePlease help with colours for my brother's bedroom
Comments (6)Hi Johnleh, I've just read through your request and I think I can give you some advice! I like the idea of the purple and the paint you have chosen, but how about trying mushroom coloured curtains? If you got them in a good quality, thick material they would look really smart and also complement the fig paint. If it is an option, wooden flooring could work really well - it's what most trendy flats have and it also has a grown up apartment look. I would also suggest adding a free standing plant in one of the corners - this will brighten the room and introduce another colour. You can get a reasonably priced one of these (plus a simple pot to put it in) from places like homebase: https://goo.gl/NCpNsC. Oak furniture would also look great - to tie in with the style of the property, you could even get some in a 1950s style (or good quality vintage) - it's right on trend at the moment. I'm thinking a chair/table with spikey legs. Hope this helps! (chairs are both from Swoon Editions: www.swooneditions.com)...See MoreGrey bedroom
Comments (6)We have just done our bedroom in polished pebble and I love it. I don't see it blue in your picture and think it goes well with the paper (certainly not blue in our house but we have teamed it with ochre curtains so may depend on what else you are planning). The practical side of me says you have painted it now, may as well get the rest of the room finished and if after living with it finished for a few weeks you are still unsure then you could always repaint (but I bet you won't) :-)...See MoreWould slate grey paint go with my bedroom????
Comments (4)Yes definitely! Go for dark luxurious bedding too. Could chuck in some orange and purple accents with silk and velvet cushions and a throw - lush! As we say in Bristol......See MoreJuliet Docherty
