Need help choosing range colour, wall colour and tiles in kitchen
Comments (27)Update - alabaster painted oak units, oak worktop, (curved end units and worktop corners) belfast sink, 1100 stainless steel rangemaster porcelain large high gloss ivory 600x600 floor tiles, ivory grout - please see attached look book just still to decide on shade of sage on walls - deciding between F&B Mizzle, Vert De Terre, Ball Green and Cooking Apple Green... Also metro sub/way tiles on walls - whether to go for a sage tile or cream/white... The dining room area off the kitchen will have oak parquet floor which will follow through from hall and will also be in the lounge but Im thinking of following the wall colour in the kitchen through to the dining room for continuity and potentially painting the chimney brest or wall furthest away from and facing the kitchen a darker green complementary colour... Thoughts please...See Morerange cooker
Comments (11)If you haven't purchased the cabinets yet then don't be dictated to.... Having this size limits your options. Personally I would not have a range again and instead would have eye level ovens and a separate hob. (Although of course you can put ovens underneath) For similar money to a range you have more choices of oven style with separate appliances and can have integrated microwaves, or steam ovens, or warming drawers or compact ovens. I would also point out that this route will also get you a bigger oven cavity for the Christmas turkey than the typical range....See MoreDouble oven/Two Single Ovens/Combi Microwave & Oven
Comments (52)#Mrs Lanks - having altered our original kitchen when we moved in 13 years ago we are now freshening up paintwork, replacing worktops and installing new appliances as the layout we chose then still works for us. We presently have a Rangemaster but they have changed the style so are considering two single ovens either side by side or on top of each other. If the latter, does the top oven need to be supported rather than just placed on top of the bottom one.....? Also, which brand did you end up buying as we are researching Neff and Bosch which both seem to have a problem cleaning the doors as you apparently need to take the glass door out....!?...See MoreWhich Range Cooker?
Comments (8)Hello Charlie, Well.... If we're talking range then Wolf is my favourite. I also like a white Aga... Failing that Smeg are good. I have had one for 11 years.. Not the same one I moved.. but I do think they are excellent.. What I would look at first is how and what you like to cook as this will help you decide what size to go for... If you have the room go for a 6 burner see image.. These styles are dual fuel which I prefer, and think the Smeg oven is very reliable.. Have a look at a few models to see what you think, but I find them quite easy to clean and they fit the "chrome" look. So you might want to consider a double oven which is pretty useful when cooking a main dish and then say a pudding or canapes in the smaller of the two.... Price? You can get something starting at about a grand. :))...See MoreEllie
