My OH bought one for my 40th birthday - I just love the sound of a clock in the house. Unfortunately it was lost when our house flooded so we now have this modern reproduction one. It's rather neglected at the moment whilst some building and renovation work is completed. Once it goes back in place we shall have it serviced and make sure it is free of any dust from all the work. It's surprising how far the dust travels.

Unfortunately I have to have a mobile alarm - I'd love a good song but I think I'd probably end up resenting it. That said I'm terrible with my alarm anyway - I'll continuously put it on sleep until I really can't afford to any longer! And I used to believe I was a morning person...

Hi Alf, I like what you've done with your room - great use of space. Where the guinea pig cage is you could definitely fit a seating area. I would suggest having a corner sofa piece (you can get smaller ones, and separate sections that you put together/can move around).
