What colour cabinets with these tiles
We are having these tiles installed in our new utility room. A capenter has made us bespoke cabinets in MDF. What colour should we paint these cabinets to work with the tilea? The room has no natural light whatsoever and we are planning on white walls. Thank you!

Comments (24)Hi Cake lady thanks for your comment. I have considered the wood effect tiles. However the kitchen adjoins a hall which has an oak laminate floor. I'm concerned the two different types of wood will clash. what do you think? Good to know they're low maintenance. Comments (14)Fabulous ideas everyone, keep them coming:-) Carolina, my first thought was also a mirror, maybe an antique style one. Definitely something to think about. Minnie101, I love your inspiration as always, love the blue cameo box image, will definitely test out some decoupage on the little bedside cabinet. To all, must say I’m not much for chalk paint, never liked the feel of it although you can get some good effects plus you can always varnish/wax over it. Just feel for this piece I neeeed colour! Our hallway can get rather gloomy at the best of times (north facing with only the door for daylight). I do love natural wood but the cabinet, although nicely shaped is just cheap pine and not the best quality. I didn’t pay much for it so feel justified in painting it. Emily, i’ll probably get the Land Rover enamel paint just because I want to see how it compares to standard gloss, watch this space! Comments (3)Here is a layout of the room. It will get lots of light as it’s a south facing garden and will have velux windows and bifold doors. The rooms leading into the kitchen/diner are the lounge one side and hallway the other. Lounge has light grey carpet and hallway will be engineered wooden floor when done....See More- PRO

4 years agoGreat job on selecting the tiles, they are beautiful and just what you need for a cool bathroom style. We do like the suggestion of a dark grey blue colour, but since there is no natural light, we think a glossy white would reflect more light and let the tiles stand out more. Although a warm wood finish or a light taupe colour would work great as well. Good luck with your renovation!

4 years agoI think you can easily mix whites. I suppose you could stick to cool or warm whites, but sometimes even they will look good together. Here’s a couple of white bathrooms and you can see the variety
