Comments (8)Hi. I don't think it is necessarily old fashioned and it is practical, especially around a sink and looks way better than just having a little patch of tiles above the vanity! Also, if you already have the half-tiled wall, replastering all the walls will be necessary if you decide not to have tiles (as xtine74 said). I'd tile to the ceiling around the bath/shower and end it at the end of the bath near the toilet and then go down to the half-tiled wall you already have. I don't know about your style, but here are a few pictures to look at that will hopefully help you decide: Oh, and I wouldn't do a big wall cabinet over the loo....they can look a bit clumsy and are hard to reach. How about a few hooks down that side or open shelves and then have a proper cabinet under the sink that goes from the window wall to the sticky-out bit on the other side of the sink? 5 years agoWhat about a modern combination of sleek white walls and textured stone effect grey tiles? Would look timeless and is bright enough for a bathroom with no window (like on the picture). The stone effect gives the grey colour some visual interest, so that it is not just your ordinary grey and white colour scheme, which can be a bit dull. 5 years agoCarolina all your ideas are great and very useful. Thank you very much. I like monochromatic style therefore your first concept is the best for me. I think pattern grey floor gives the interior definition. White tiles on the wall make bathroom larger and esthetic. You said also about big mirror and good lighting. I think it’s a very good idea. I also think about accessories in expressive color like lazur or lime color for example like on the picture below. What do you think about it, which color will be better or maybe you have some another concept?

5 years agoHi Magdalena, happy you like the stone effect tiles. If you would opt for either walls or floors, we suggest installing them on the floor then. The texture would make the tiles anti-slip, so perfect for the floor. And use plain, smooth white tiles on the walls, because it will be easier to clean them. Go for a matt finish, to complement the natural stone finish and make the overall look of the bathroom very natural. Looking forward seeing your new bathroom! Good luck!
