Window Covering

Great design in a typical small London bathroom, but having a window right by a shower can be problematic. What window protection and dressing did you use? It's hard to see from the picture. Are they white Venetian metal blinds?

Hi Am following this thread with interest - I have windows like this throughout my house and am finding it really difficult to decide on suitable treatments. On the upside it means the house always looks light and airy! We currently have a series of temporary roller blinds downstairs which work pretty well, but in the bedrooms we have curtains - although they now cover the radiators so not keen as a long term solution. Would also like to have blackout in the two main bedrooms. Does anyone know if extra wide roman blinds are available anywhere? We'd like an unfussy look. Suggestions and pics most welcome. Thanks.

Angm47. These are basically what we have as our temporary solution. They aren’t working for us unfortunately. They crease / dent terribly, flies get trapped in the bottom (behind) and I can’t reach to pull them all the way to top without a ladder. Also, they won’t push down flat at the bottom. Hi Tina, Based on your rug, table and pillows, you could go with a muted blue or a muted green if you want to keep the room neutral and airy as much as possible. For example a color palette that looks like this: source I do like the elegance of a marble table and beautiful neutrals and pastels but obviously this is your room so if you want pops of colour (for instance like the red on your small pillow or a soft pink for a more romantic feel), you can definitely add them in small doses across the room. For this, think textiles, candles, flowers, accessories, art,... Also, to have a lot of light coming in, I would advise to push your curtains away from the windows as much as possible, i.e. hang them high and wide especially as your windows are quite narrow. Venetian Blinds are so flexible. You can have the slats open to let in light, or slanted down just a little to get rid of any glare. You can also open them up completely when you want lots of light. Wider slats painted white or left natural and made of wood or mdf are very popular now. Like this
