Step Inside a London Designer’s Elegant Edwardian Home
In this episode of Houzz TV Live, designer Claudia Dorsch shares a virtual tour of her family’s Edwardian home in London. Claudia kept the traditional layout of separate rooms rather than knock down walls to create an open-plan space. She did, however, move the kitchen from a dark location in the middle of the house to an area at the rear that enjoys natural light and a connection to the terrace and garden. An unusual, pebble-look granite worktop on the island and a combination of pale wood and glossy white cabinets join an antique dresser to create a modern-meets-traditional style. Claudia also highlights a laundry room packed with storage and a main bedroom designed to function like a suite at a fancy hotel, with decorative details on the walls and a plasterwork ceiling inspired by French chateaux.
