We have had Margarida's assistance and design expertise a few times. She has helped us with a variety of design advice such as paint colours for our entire home, kitchen face lift advice for cabinet repainting, counter tops, floor tile and backsplash. She has also helped with furniture decisions, furniture placement and has quite a vision! Most recently she advised on colours and decor for my daughter's bedroom. My wife and I found Margarida to be a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend her. I've often read and relied on a lot of reviews but this is one of the few I've written. I wanted to share our experience in order to hopefully help others who (as I was) may be a bit apprehensive at this stage. After all, selecting someone to welcome into your home in order to help shape, select and arrange the look and feel of what you will live with every day for several years to come is a careful decision for some. We couldn't be happier with the person we choose and the results she created. In a nutshell, Margarida is an active listener who combined her exceptional design and décor skills with our individual preferences and created an outcome that is both functional and stylish while reflecting our personality. I can sincerely say that we look forward to coming home and enjoying our transformed living / dining space every day. Aspirational became reality - months later...there is still a bit of that "pinch me can't believe this is my home feeling!" It's also taken our entertaining to a new level. This was easier said than done considering it was our first time hiring a professional decorator. We were budget conscious and Margarida remained respectful of that throughout. Our project cost and timeline both came in within the original expectations that were set. We felt we needed someone to help us bring together a stylish but cohesive look - plus it certainly helped to have a mediator at times! When my wife and I had different points of views, Margarida's patience and collaborative nature helped to ground us on design fundamentals while bringing in elements to reflect our individual tastes. This kept us both engaged throughout the process and created a sense of connection to the final outcome for each of us. As mentioned, because we were new to this type of process (custom made furniture and treatments etc.), I had many questions and apprehensions throughout. Her intuitive nature often sensed and addressed my apprehensions. I also found her highly responsive with timely follow up when she had to research answers to my questions. She was also available to offer consultations on other elements of our project (eg. flooring, painting etc.) with referrals to high quality sources and very qualified trades people. We are now saving for our next home project and look forward to engaging Margarida to help us. We have no doubt that the high standard she has set with us will be met or exceeded.

I decided to hire Margarida to help me after many weeks of trying to decide what style and colour of garage door would best suit my home, She not only chose the complimentary colour and style but also gave many wonderful ideas for designing the rest of the front of the house (front door colour, planter shapes and positioning, lighting and driveway design). Margarida was referred to me by a friend. We started working on my family room. She made a suggestion on moving the T.V to a different wall, which we would have never thought of ourselves because we already thought it was in the perfect spot, BUT it wasn't! as soon as we moved it, the room looked so much better. We are in the process of changing other pieces in the room, I can't wait until it's complete so we can really enjoy it. Even the simple colour changes have already made a big difference. I would have never been able to pick colours and make these changes with the position of the furniture by myself. Thank you Margarida!

Margarida and I have been working on and off on my new condo for the past 12 to 18 months... in 2016 she provided me with some great guidance on a number of condo upgrades including but not limited to - ceilings, baseboards, kitchen cabinets/appliances/counters/tiles, bathroom cabinets/fixtures/counters/tiles, bedroom/living room/dining room furniture/rugs/hardwood flooring, etc. She is also working with me on painting my condo including accent walls, pictures, backsplash, etc. as well as lighting, drapery and accessories.
