This review has been long over due, and a plausible excuse I gave myself is that I have been too busy enjoying this successful renovation designed and executed by none other than the fabulous Scott! And the truth is that right after the completion of this project, I have been having family and friends visiting almost nonstop. They all congratulate on my choice of the designer, also a wonderful contractor. Besides all his creativities and innovative approaches, Scott is also extremely effective in communication, understanding what you want; equally conscientious with budget management, time management, and quality control. Always generous with sharing his resources so that you end up having the best effect with most sensible spending. In short, with his magical touch, my house was totally transformed on time and on budget. During the entire process, he took over everything large and small, affording me to escape to the sun while they worked wonders in the winter months, and returned to a most happy completion that exceeds my every expectation. Yes, he will be the one I turn to if I have any renovation needs in future and recommend if anybody is looking for a great designer!

I had the pleasure of working with Scott while I was trying to determine what I wanted to do to freshen up a very small, poorly laid out kitchen in the house I was raised in and recently inherited to get it ready for sale. Scott came up with 5 different designs trying to make it a more functional kitchen without knocking out any walls. It was a big challenge as the house was built in 1927 on a small lot, so all the rooms are small. As a result of going through that process then consulting with my realtor about what a full remodel might net me in a higher sale price vs. just leaving the same ground plan and just doing some cosmetic improvements, I decided I had to do the smaller project. Scott never pressured me to take on more than I wanted to do and even reassured me that I lived in a neighborhood that was so desirable that the house would probably sell for a good price even without a major kitchen full remodel. He then was able to recommend a contractor he worked with a lot who did take smaller jobs to put in some new flooring, sand and refinish the existing cabinets and put in new countertops. The contractor called back right away and it seems like Scott's recommendation was a really good one. So even if your project isn't big, he's a great person to work with. He really listens and he is tremendously creative. He charges a fair price for his services and I would work with him in a heartbeat if the occasion presents itself.

We hired Scott initially to do an interior color analysis of our recently purchased home. It was a tricky assignment because of our existing artwork and furniture, but he came through with "flying colors" so to speak. His palette has worked out exceedingly well. He also came up with an awesome design for a basement library/study. The room offered serious spatial constraints which his solution overcame nicely. Another bonus Scott brings is his knowledge of the Proctor community, and he has led us to some very rewarding service providers for art framing and re-upholstering.

Scott took all the guess work out of deciding paint colors for walls and ceilings. We used Rockport Grey for our dining room ceiling and it looks fantastic. He recommended a wonderful fellow to install our flooring; he recommended painters and carpet installers. Things went quickly and smoothly as we updated our living and dining room

I have not used this Interior Designer, but when I move to the Gig Harbor, WA, area, I will definitely be calling on Mr. Neste. Why? I am thrilled about the exceptional aesthetic that Scott Neste owner of Minor Details Interior Design accomplished for my home. Scott’s recommendations for fresh white walls with a few defined areas splashed with black or grey made the interior architecture of my home move from ordinary to impressive. His suggestion to wrap drywall columns in wood created a polished sophisticated look for a minimum of cost. I absolutely love the visual treats Scott created with his arrangements of my art glass, pottery, framed art & eclectic furniture collections in which he created astonishing rooms that are not only interesting but most of all pleasing. One of Scott’s many talents is making your taste in art and furnishings look amazing. Due to Scott’s guidance the joy of living in my home has increased exponentially and I can take additional pride in entertaining my friends in an environment that lends itself to intriguing settings whether casual or formal. I highly recommend Scott’s design details whether your budget’s small or large because his work is exceptional ....the results will always be fabulous either way.

We have been a fan of Scott Neste's work since being awestruck by his design in our friends' homes and businesses. Scott has helped us remodel most of our late 1800's home over the past 10 years, and most recently, our kitchen. Working with Scott has not only been a true pleasure but has consistently exceeded our already high expectations. He possesses a rare combination of delightful personality and humor with a brilliant eye for design AND function that is a true pleasure to experience. An artist as well as a designer, Scott takes the time to clearly understand our needs with a given space - design, function, and budget - and can magically zero in on what we're looking for even when WE don't know exactly what that is! Our kitchen is a tiny - a closet, really, but it is ours and we wanted to make the best of it. Although we love many features and details of our older home, complete with requisite quirkiness, we longed for a more modern look in the kitchen that would somehow blend with the rest of the house. Scott's thoughtful selection of every aspect of the kitchen from the cabinets to a baking center to pet feeding stations to tile layout were nothing short of perfect. He incorporated every major and minor detail to make our kitchen the most functional and spacious space anyone could ever imagine from a kitchen formerly known as "the closet." There are simply not enough superlatives to describe Scott.

Scott helped my husband and I with many aspects of design while we were building our new house - from helping refine some aspects of our floor plan through final touches . He was a great source of ideas and collaborated with me to bring some very fun things to fruition. However, he also re-directed me when I was too far off concept. He found many materials and samples that were just right for our project, coordinating styles that we like. My husband and I have very different preferences and Scott was a great mediator when we had to find choices that suited us both. And he was fun to work with, always upbeat and energetic.

Scott Neste of Minor Details is amazing. He makes the remodeling process fun and easy and stress free. It's really important to like the person you are working with in what often time can be a stressful situation of remodeling a home. He brings creativity to any design challenge - ensure he understands your style while offering ideas to accentuate and bring unique thinking to every situation. The other awesome thing about Scott is that he works within any budget. Scott is motivated to find the right solution that won't cost you an arm and a leg (which was much appreciated in our case)! We remodeled our entry way, kitchen, living and dining room with Scott and would do it again in a heartbeat. Good investment to ensure we got creative, unique and functional spaces with great choices made the first time.

Scott Neste really is producing some amazing and very original work! We are loving his designs and he is really great to work with, which is a big deal! We recently collaborated with him on a commercial renovation project in Gig Harbor at the Hi-Tech Cleaners. Our client had some very unique and challenging needs in regards to improving the utilization of their space. Working with Scott, we were able to come up with some pretty great solutions. Scott came up with a design for the cash wrap and cabinetry that essentially tripled their storage space and doubled their use of floor space. Quite impressive. He essentially created space for a dressing room out of thin air. Scott also really did a great job integrating industry specific materials in the clients pallet to better communicate their brand elements of fabric, clothing, etc . It really has been great working with Scott, and I am looking forward to continuing our work together.

Commented: are this lights LED? maybe COB LED?Hello Best Construction, This does not come with LED lights however, you can use LED lights in this fixture. It takes a max of 50W bulbs so you can use an LED equivalent of 50W.
