Bellagio Ideabook
I could see the left side of the house looking exactly like this from the front: Towering entry and towering circular left wing. Left wing would house kitchen and a thinner studio above it (with a balcony). I love the layers and the roofing in the middle! Kitchen could open up completely to the front yard with indoor/outdoor bar and be expansive/spilling out (not claustrophobic)--with the bar here the library could be preserved more (I do like the pillars).
Nice entry. I could see an entry such as this one with a breakfast nook. So the 2nd floor would have an indoor outdoor area framed with concrete where the host and or guests could enjoy breakfast overlooking the garden, not just a shallow balcony. Porticos on first floor could open up square footage on 2nd floor for other things.
The dining room could be rounded like this at the end. I think and hope this would soften up the dining room making it more inviting from the backyard, while also making the backyard more inviting to the dining room. I also think this roundedness would complement other round elements such as cabana and west wing.
I like these ceilings for the kitchen, and for the kitchen to be raised to 1.5-2 stories. I think this would work well from the exterior (see next slide).
