Likes include: * the two level island, * the outlets in the island, * including both the stove top and a small sink in the island, * how the fridge, ovens, stovetop, and small sink are close together, yet the fridge and ovens are a bit apart to avoid heating the fridge with the oven. This doesn’t have windows in it, but I envision putting the fridge, large sink, and ovens on one side, and the stovetop and small sink in the island. Given our kitchen layout and window, though, we may need to slide the fridge further down along one wall.
We won't have this much space, but I could see us possibly having a smaller version of this. I would hang a swinging couch-type porch swing here, if there were something very contemporary-looking. I'm torn. I really like the facade of the other house that you designed as well (which didn't have the porch).
Just a note that this is a terrible idea. Wine storage should be away from heat and away from light.
Nice use of the space under the stairs. I think that Ivy might prefer to have the floating staircase without this additional visual clutter, though.
I like this modern looking compact wine "cellar". For temperature control reasons, it would be best to put in the basement, but for convenience, best on the main level. With a small wine fridge (
The weight rack on the right is the extent of the weight lifting equipment. So not much space is needed, except for a high ceiling to allow for holding the bar overhead.
Basement workout/yoga room. Would like to have one of the cement walls of the basement to use as a tennis backboard in the winter, which means there'll need to be some space in front of that wall. It's possible we won't be able to have a high enough ceiling, so might have to can that idea. But we'd still like a spot to do yoga (for 2-3), and some olympic lifting.
This reminded me that it might be nice to have a mini bamboo forest along the fences to provide lots of privacy
i have bookshelves like these
like the circular island around the stovetop
If we have to use a U shape, this is a nice option. I like the layout and the materials.
We like the stovetop on the island, facing your entertaining guests. Is the kitchen sink window here actually into another room? Or just to a porch? Anyway, if we can't get the sink and stovetop on an island, then this is a nice option as well. Fridge and oven should be close at hand.
Even better is a sink AND a stovetop on the island. The key would be that the island would need enough size to still accommodate place settings on the island.
Space saving!
Nice layout, except I would switch the sink and stovetop. Every kitchen tool is at a minimum distance from each other. I don't like the granite look, and would also want a window above the sink (where the stovetop is in the pic.
I like the style, but not the layout
If we have a tub (this is up for debate), I'd prefer either a separate circular tub, or near circular, and NOT one of those huge long tubs, nor a built-in tub. The tub also should not be the centerpiece of the bathroom since it's not going to get used that often.
another outdoor shower idea
I like the split sinks.
I like the open shower, and in particular the teak floor.
I wonder if we could work in an outdoor shower?
Cool triple sliding door entryway to MBR
I think I tagged another room from this project. Anyway, this is sweet.
I know we won't have this much space, but wow!
Wood, fireplace, big windows. Very nice
I like the vertical windows with 3 sections. Might be an option for the south side of the house (stairwell windows)
