New house on left side. Water feature by huge pot. She left pot for us. Looks a little sterile maybe moss or ground cover around rocks a bit? Also note here that trail is on other side of fence so maybe need another tall evergreen or something against fence. Need to check out privacy, type of plants on other side especially for winter.
Umbrella heater
Another wall mounted heater
Wall-mounted heater
hmm. Large white umbrella provides shade but lets light through.
We'd like a fire table in our conversation area
Like little corners of beauty and interest.
Side yard, separate kinda area?
Intrigued by this being up against fence so it doesn’t darken house.
Flagstone path is nice
Covering like this may make great room darker? But they built on a wall with no windows. Retractable awning...but then no fire table?
Separate eating area. Maybe on side of house where gravel is. Or should the cozy sitting area be there and eating on deck?
Great colors. The green cools down the look of the hard surfaces
We have Adirondacks with a matching table. Gray
Just as in your living room, it usually looks best to pull the furniture away from the walls. Experiment with different arrangements until it feels right. I liked this comment about furniture
Meandering...our yard does this.
Nice conversation space against the fence. John: maybe movable furniture so you're not stuck with a fixed configuration
This is appealing from John. Beth is very iffy about artificial grass.
Artificial turf looks nice, low maintenance. Beth says...not in love with artificial but agrees the green is nice.
String lights would work nicely in the yard
We currently have gravel in the side hard. Keep some?
Nice eating area in a narrow space
Interesting to have seating up against fence.
Again feeling of eating area as almost a separate space.
I love ferns. Like natural native habitat, green all year if possible.
I love moss as ground cover and around rocks. Also we have a Chinese stone lantern.
Feel good. Maybe by the new water feature.
We have lots of pretty large pots to choose from. Probably can’t use all.
Like aspects of a Japanese garden but not wanting to go all in to that look.
Nice seating and umbrella. Maybe not enough protection for sitting out in winter even with a fire table.
We have a Buddha statue. It’s maybe about 16 inches high.
We have a bench like this!
Like feeling of the eating area.
Nice covered space. Up against fence is interesting.
We have a water feature already in the back yard. We like it. Well it has only been on once that we’ve been there but I think so!
Kinda what we are now thinking about but butted up against fence as a "back wall" of sorts.
