We extended our very small 1950's bungalow about three years ago within permitted development - extending to the rear and going up into the loft. The bungalow now has an open plan kitchen, a sitting room, study, down stairs shower room, three double bedroom's and up stairs bathroom. It was stressful but definitely worth it as we love our family home. The only down side was that the council didn't want us to have cedar cladding - but we went ahead and did it any way! Luckily it has been signed off with no issues.

This is interesting... we are now looking to extend our kitchen into our conservatory... not increasing the footprint. Will this need planning?

This is interesting. We’re planning an extension to the side but ill come more to the front too making it an L shape house. Is this under permitted development?
