Wall color
Is tile in the kitchen floor a possibility?
I really wish to retain the butcher block on the island counter as well as other counter tops.
this is stacked and has space for laundry basket. Is this possible in that space?
What is we moved the living room and the dining room? Dinging with the fireplace could be really nice!!
I can appreciate this but I am not one to use/keep lots of cubbies in order like this.
Interesting
This looks like the locker room at the gym
This may seem less modern/sleek but it is the closet to what I "like" in terms of a bench with some hooks and a closet. The hall is wide, too. I also like to natural wood rather than white/grey/silver
None of us will be able to reach those top cabinets
I do not love this because I do not like the tall thin cabinets (or the tops of them) but I think a bench with one area with hooks will work. Rather than multiple benches or multiple areas of open hooks for hanging. And I do think a cabinet/closet is needed but I do not like these
Boo. This will not stay neat in my house
Clever way of incorporating the compost with the recycling and trash.
I do not like this type of storage with the pull out drawers because my experience is that the drawers eventually break, get too heavy, stop sliding smoothly.
I like this idea better that additional cabinet storage
This is too much though! I do not want space/storage that encourages hoarding things
Knife drawer and spice storage cabinet are both pluses
I can appreciate the use of the wall to hang coats above the bench, but I do not see people sitting on the bench if coats are hanging down on them so I would prefer to separate the banch/shoes from the coat area
In the back hall/entry, I could see removing the laundry and narrow closets along the left and building a bench with under storage and a space for hanging coats at the far end of that bench
We have friends with a built in bench/kitchen table and I had that growing up. I like it. I think it also works well with butcher block?
I am choosing this to show what I do not want/like. When we lived in Southie I loved the subway tile and tried to replicate that a bit here. But, I just do not think it fits with the house, updated kitchen, or not.
This counter is great for feeding people while cooking as well as hanging out with guests for drinks because you can gather in the space that has both sides of the counter available.
Again I like the wood counter and table and that the table acts as a prep area and a seating place in the kitchen. This is minimal and I love that about it. The windows really caught my eye because it solves my claustrophobic issue with my current kitchen.
I like that it is not all white and chrome and that it incorporates some butcher block, which I believe belongs in kitchens where people actually cook and prep. I also like the exposed beam, lamps, and stools because they give it an industrial flair. I also like that there is a counter space for sitting and eating/talking while the cook is doing their thing.
