Living room lookbook
Window treatments? The white shutters are ok but not sure how relaxed they will feel...
I like the parquet floor here and light walls, though a bit cool in tone for my liking. I like all the individual colours - turquoise, fresh lime/olive green, flashes of red and mustard. I'm less sure that the blinds work for me and I'm not confident about blending/pulling different prints, patterns and textures together...
This is the estate agents picture of living room of new house. It's nice and light and airy. Things I would change: flooring - there's Karndean Parquet LVT in hall and dining room. I like a bit of an industrial/midcentury look so happy to run this thought ground floor. So also in here but with rugs. Would want to strip back all plasterwork etc (dado, ceiling artex and rose) and paint in warm off white shade that can go throughout house. Husband and I having slight difference of views about heating. I want wet UFH retrofit so can get rid of radiators to have better storage options and floor length curtains etc. He thinks too expensive and etc etc. Heating, radiators type/location ideas also welcome. Plan shared in other picture but door is to left, TV point in right corner and flue/gas fire behind/right of camera view. We will prob want wood burner. Also need to think about lighting and some other storage?
This is my ancient dark leather sofa (2 seater, we have a matching 3 seater opposite). They will need to be in new living room as can't afford to replace. Would like to explore lightening the colour and repairing/repadding cushions. Ideas/guidance/suggested professional contacts welcome! Behind is my beloved G Plan Fresco Highboard. Also coming with us but we don't really use it very well! Taupe/grey silk curtains in this room (handmade, blanket lined, 3 floor length sets) should also be cleaned/reused somewhere in new house. Could be dyed I guess but I'm not keen on dark curtains light walls so want a bit more light and less GREY in my new house! Ideas welcome.
Hmmm. This colour is odd but kinda works?
