When you think about the room that my dining room table is in I was thinking about how I could take two of the leaves out, make it more square and then put a large chair/small couch to the side of it and (what this picture is for) put additional cabinets/store across from that (underneath where the mirror is today and set a TV and more knickknacks on that table) - so this picture was more about having more cabinets/store/table in the room that is currrently the dining room
On this one I really like the color here, style and size of the cabinets along with the mix of drawers and space for shelf sitters/books. (Color may be a little dark but in general really like it). The biggest issue is that those windows are in the way to make these have any real depth - what are you thinking? I think that is why my husband was talking about assuming that we'd have to bust out the wall a bit and they'd that would be more built in so that I'd have some depth to the shelves.
For this one I really liked the black and white contrast - not sure how that plays out in the space we're looking to put together but I like how the white and black play on one another (again, white wouldn't be the best choice for the cabinets but maybe gray with white accents or another color that contrasts well)
You had mentioned "Could do something like this in the front room, but with closed cabinets on the left and right." - I like that. And I know we're not there yet but what do you think about color? White isn't always great in a crafting space - light gray? And from a layout perspective I like this best where I could have my "work desk" in front of those front windows and the shelves up and down the sides
I like it!
