Excellent tips and such gorgeous spaces. Love using dropleaf tables for extra seating when people come over, but extra space when they don't.

With a tiny kitchen that needs to have dining space and more storage I use this piece to help add colour, as well as the much needed table seating when people come over :) *Hannah

Hannah, we bought that exact table (but in wenge) in January this year, after a disastrous Christmas when we forced our (some elderly) relatives to eat buffet-style, as we didn't have a dining table (had given up on it in this new house because the lack of use in the former one).

As we didn't want a permanent dining table, a foldaway seemed like a good idea to get for those times when we might need it. Also, we bought those bar stools specifically because they can be lowered to a typical dining chair height so we can use them with the table.

Anyway, I looked at Wharfside site, but you didn't have this model in stock then, so we bought it from Barker & Stonehouse http://www.barkerandstonehouse.co.uk/furniture/Dining-Room/Tables/Oslo-SM101-MultiFunction-Table/sizes-1830-65263/
(you can see a corner of it below in our messy kitchen in this older pic- I'm just too lazy to go downstairs and tidy up and take a better photo....)

This is such a useful ideabook! Living in London we all suffer from less space than we would like and every single one of these ideas makes the most of the space whilst still being beautiful!
