Contemporary Look in Wood Wine Cellars
I love the look of this traditional wine cellar and the appropriate lighting. Wine should be stored in complete darkness and this cellar does a commendable job of combining design and function. Bravo!
The new concept in contemporary wine cellars is made in Canada and they also do the installations on these. Not for clients who are budget conscious!
Beautiful cellar mixing high end Cable Wine System with wood racking and brickwork.
Mixing wood racking and stone with this Cable Wine System adds not only beauty but texture and flexibility.
The use of "Aquarium" type cellars work well for restaurants trying to showcase the wines they offer. However, know that light will destroy wine and that is why wine "cellars", dark and quiet, have been around for thousands of years!
This was designed for a client in Madrid, Spain. This cellar is deep enough to walk in but sometimes it's just an alcove converted into a wine area.
Staining custom wine racks to match exterior doors is an expensive option and only available through our more expensive line of racking.
This is somewhat contemporary but could be considered traditional as well. Note: I do not recommend this much glass in a cellar which will cost you twice as much for a cooling unit and monthly utilities. Keep your wine in their traditional dark and cool space.
You don't often see a wine cellar with white racks but sometimes clients are looking for that particular look. This is The Cube and manufactured in Canada.
Using metal racks and glass walls in restaurants is important for them to show off the various varietals they offer to customers. Because they are always selling their wine, it is not that critical that the wine is in a dark cellar and with no or low lighting.
Adding metal racks to a cellar adds a different element and texture to a cellar.
Metal racks when used without wood, do not offer the ability to store different size bottles or wood case storage. Using glass walls require twice the amount of BTU's in cooling systems which means more expense in the purchase as well as monthly utility costs and wear and tear on the compressor. Even more important, wine should be in a completely dark room to properly age.
These acrylic racks also come with the ability to add rectangular bins so you can accommodate all size bottles.
A contemporary look in this wine cellar. However, using all bins for wine has a couple disadvantages; 1) cool air does not properly flow around each bottles as in individual bottle racks, 2) in earthquake areas, bottles can easily pop out and onto the floor and break.
Whether you have a contemporary home or not, walking into a wine cellar (above ground or below), can be a totally separate experience as it has always been. Keep the light out and transport yourself to a totally different experience.
Wine Cellar featuring diamond bins, horizontal bottles, double deep racking below with single deep above creating a beautiful wood table top.
Stained & finished racks are beautiful and adding just a touch of metal racks is a better look than all metal and more flexible storage for a wine cellar.
Stained or unstained, using straight lines in lieu of curves has a more contemporary appeal.
This is called The Cube and made in Canada. Can also be ordered in white. Tough to keep in the cooled air with these type of doors. Do not recommend.
