Monica's Living Room
Love the concept of color blocking with cabinets...using black along the left side of the fireplace and a different color on the far right where I have my LA Marathon poster. LA Marathon poster must be displayed and used as the door to a cabinet to add additional hidden storage in this dead corner of the living room.
Love this back splash with silver, white, grey, AND gold in the herringbone pattern. Floating shelves with lighting. Black frame along the side needs to become a floor to ceiling long cabinet Need a beverage fridge...NOT a wine fridge and adding a small sink is a MUST, since I'm also moving the laundry into the current pantry location. Crushed ice maker would be a major plus. This could become my protein shake and snack bar. The display would be my running medals and my Muscle Contest Trophies. The gold would work with the bronze trophies.
Right side with 1 floating hidden storage unit plus my LA Marathon poster.
Frameless storage cabinets withOUT handles could work
I do NOT like these floating shelves because of the symmetry.
I don't want my doors to obstruct the walkway. Perhaps sliders are BEST???
What about off-setting the fireplace so that it is NOT in the center?
Do i need a mantel?
I would be open to choosing a smaller slab of natural stone and using other options to frame the stone but I do NOT like the flanking shelves.
Could we take the load bearing wall and just deconstruct it. I just don't want drywall. We just need light to go through from the kitchen to the living room.
Definitely do not like a white stone slab and the cabinets being so symmetrical.
I like the way the TV sort of disappears with this stone.
Think about enclosing both sides of the fireplace with the stone slab s well. Makes it look more complete.
This is similar to the current size of my firebox and I hate the TV being so big and the firebox being so small. Also, to not compete have the mantel made out of the same stone slab.
I don't want the mantel size and/or color to compete with the slab of stone that I use for the fireplace. I also like the length of the TV being smaller than the length of the fireplace.
I don't want the length of the TV and the fireplace to be symmetrical
Size of the TV will play an important role
Option: Put 2 chairs or a day bed to the left of the fireplace.
Love this sofa. The arms are wide and boxy.
Love this fireplace without the glass in front of it and the larger rectangular size.
I would love to vault my cielings that would be a dream come true.
