Kitchen - Gloss white units Again, it’s difficult to go wrong with a white gloss kitchen, the biggest bonus of which is how much light it bounces around. The downsides? Fingermarks will show up more readily and it needs to be carefully matched with warmer, natural materials and textures if it’s not to look harshly modern.
Kitchen Gloss neutral units If, on the other hand, you want your kitchen to feel harmonious within the rest of the room, but draw attention as the showpiece, choose your neutral cabinetry in a gloss finish. In addition, if you pick out eye-catching furniture, such as these stools, you’ll draw still more attention to that end of the room.
Kitchen Matt neutral units If you want to create a kitchen that’s part of an open-plan living and dining area, here are three good-looking ways to achieve it: by using the same matt paint finish on the walls as on the units; by choosing a colour that recedes rather than advances, and by picking out flush-fit cabinetry that blends away into the background. Masterful.

Kitchen - Door-mounted storage Mounting tea towel rails or racks to the inside of doors is a cheap and cheerful storage solution. It’s a great place to store sponges and damp cloths too, because they can dry faster here, and always in easy reach. Tip: If you have a decorative/routed door front, check the thickness of the door and screw length to prevent drilling straight through when attaching the rail. Did you enjoy this story? Kitchen - A simple drawer at the bottom is very versatile for storing items that may not be regularly required. The drawer is positioned in an area that someone is likely to stand in frequently, so always consider the practical aspects. The steel rod running the length of the upper cabinet is a simple and space-efficient way to store tea towels and other bits.
Kitchen Slide out storage for the lower section of the cabinet Most under-sink cabinets have restricted depth due to pipes and plumbing. Adding sliding storage to the lowest part of the cabinet is great for addressing access into these hard-to-reach areas. This is more true if you have a shelf in the middle. Slide-out bins come in a wide range of depths so it may be an option. Tip: Consider practical issues for the placement (and size) of your bin. A bin placed directly under the sink may create access issues if you have a large family or a very busy kitchen. 10 tidy tips for kitchen bin storage
Kitchen Tilt Drawer - clever use of space, a tilt drawer is a great way of storing small items that are constantly used. Tip: check hardware materials and warranty to ensure suitability for wet items. These space-saving storage options can be a pricey inclusion, so make it an investment that will last.

Living-Kitchen but exchange sink for job & oven to utilise space in top corner - the kitchen sink in this corner left plenty of counter space for prep and a tiny peninsula-like surface for serving food. The tall upper cabinetry provides plenty of storage but doesn't reach up so high that the couple couldn't use the space at the top.
On the other side of the kitchen is access to the rest of the house. The open shelves suspended from the ceiling add storage while allowing light and views through the space.

Kitchen - corner sink area good but reducing it better?
This clever kitchenette definitely falls in the convenience camp. A beautiful second kitchen, it's adjacent to the dining room and features a refrigerator and freezer drawer; coffee and other drinks can be served easily from it. The sink and bar area could have been fully concealed behind beautiful walnut doors too.

Space was of the essence in the bathroom, but with no compromise on luxury: as well as the bath, the room has a walk-in shower. The black and white theme inspired by the exterior of the property is continued in here with local Welsh slate floor tiles contrasting with the white metro wall tiles. The washstand – found on eBay – picks up the pairing with its black granite top, and black features in a picture frame and accessories, too.
Modest dimensions and a long list of must-have elements – including oven and hob, washer-dryer, dishwasher, and a Belfast sink – made the kitchen challenging for Marsh to plan. “Because it’s a small room, rather than big cupboards, there are solid oak shelves on the wall,” he says.99 ingenious ideas for your small kitchen

Storage - Hunt for hidden depths Think you have no more room for storage? Take a look around your home to see if you can find some untapped zones. This smart solution is a brilliant way to make a staircase multi-task – the bottom couple of treads have a shoe drawer hidden beneath them. If you’re considering an idea like this, make sure the drawers will be easy to shut safely by fitting them with recessed handles and soft-close catches.

An opaque glazed sliding door, set in a black mild steel frame, is a clever, industrial-style design device to conceal the television when it’s not in use. “It balances the space, creating a dialogue with the aged-bronze-clad door that leads from the end of the entrance corridor into the living area
