The design world is packed full of inspiration for charming children’s rooms – the tricky bit is deciding which style to aim for. A neutral base works well if you have lots of toys and decorations, but wacky wallpaper can be fun, too. Just try to work out whether you (or your kids) will tire of it too quickly to make it worth the trouble. Check out these recently uploaded spaces on Houzz and save the ones you like to your own ideabooks.
Master a multi-coloured makeover
This rainbow-hued space proves it’s possible to give a room child-friendly colour purely via accessories. This is a good move for a room designed to grow with your child, as well as in rented homes where you can’t redecorate.
Here, the pale grey walls and white shelves present the ideal backdrop for bright accents. Woven trunks and crocheted baskets by Anne-Claire Petit provide plenty of toy storage.

Play with pastels
What little homebody could resist this adorable corner? A tiny kitchen with a plethora of sugared almond shades set against heavenly harlequin wallpaper and a side of fancy frocks. Play essential.
Turning a corner of a child’s room into a permanent play-acting space is a sweet idea if you have the room – a kitchen or a restaurant is a cute choice for budding chefs, or build a craft station stocked with coloured paper, pens, glitter and modelling clay. Decorate it with as much care as you would a full-size version.

Raise the roof
This loft conversion made space for a bijou bedroom that’s cool and colourful. With limited wall area, each element of this kid-friendly hideout must earn its keep: a rainbow of books is decorative as well as functional, toys act as accessories, and storage is slotted into every nook and cranny.

Play it cool
Teal floorboards might not seem like a natural choice, but this shade works wonderfully with white walls and primary colours. Animal-themed accessories add the fun factor.

Work around a wallpaper
Choose a focal-point wallpaper and let it inform the rest of the room’s colour scheme for a pulled-together and calming – but still fun – space.
Here, mother and baby can float off to sleep together in this dreamy nursery. The Beautiful Balloons wallpaper by Claridge House inspires the room’s colour scheme, with touches of ochre and blush pink on a taupe-grey base. A cloud and star mobile completes the floaty feeling.

Take it to market
A little shop setup keeps the children happy in this sweet space. Mini gingham curtains match other red accessories and help to make the bedroom feel cosy and creative.
It’s worth hunting down attractive versions of substantial toys, such as shops or kitchens, as they’ll become a long-standing decorative feature in your child’s space. You could also have something made, or upcycle a suitable piece of furniture and paint it to match the rest of the room.

Pick your palette
Playing with patterns of different scales creates a sophisticated scheme in this smart bedroom. The palette of blue, grey, white and coral is unexpected but inspired, and would translate well to both teenage and adult-orientated schemes.

Help with home-schooling

Double the charm
Soothing pastel tones and dainty, cloud-print paper create the perfect peaceful retreat for twins. A trio of vintage, fabric-covered large cushions makes for a comfy day bed (and would be an easy DIY), while an assortment of artworks decorate the walls.
Painting a key piece of furniture – here, a cot – in an inky shade might seem too strong an idea for a baby’s room. In fact, it grounds the watery hues elsewhere, rather than dominating. A painted wooden chair or chest could have a similar effect.

Vinyl Wall Stickers are a great alternative to the "kiddie wallpaper" mentioned by My Bespoke Room Ltd as they can be easily removed when kids grow up and tastes change, without the effort of completely redecorating. Here's a few of our latest examples
See more at InkmillVinyl.co.uk
As My Bespoke Room Ltd was saying, you need to choose carefully your wallpaper because kids could quickly grow out of a robot/car wallpaper as well as pink and pastel blues wallpaper. That`s why we always suggest customers to consider grey which is a great colour to combine with accessories of traditional kids colours. In this 4 years old boy`s room we used shades of greys and black. Harlequin Wallpaper, Beanbag and Storage Bag available in our store
all the pretty wall art and prints look amazing with each room. well chosen
