Love the ideas in this article! A cosy fireplace in the kitchen can really make all the difference - the place in the home where all the family can gather to enjoy each others' company.

Kitchen Renovation. New kitchen looms, heating is a headache. Currently there is a Stanley Oil fired stove which has given me 27 years of mainly trouble free service. Low running costs but cosmetically has seen better days.
Intend to replace it with a range type cooker and an oil combi boiler but I have no wall space for a radiator. With the Stanley going there will be no heat in the kitchen which is currently lovely and warm.
2 x plinth heaters have been suggested but I don't think they will be enough.
Ideas?

Warm water underfloor heating has come a long way and there is no need to dig up the floor! Specialist retrofit underfloor heating systems can be laid over the existing floor, adding as little as 15mm (the height of a 5p coin) to the floor - a super-snug and efficient heating option for renovations.
