I hope we're not obsessed, but we are just looking for some extra work space in order that we can enjoy preparing food with more persons at the same time. This item has inspired us greatly with regard to possible sizes, thanks!
@Sueann Sherman. I made my own kitchen island using Ikea Kallax book cases and a worktop from Amazon. I needed to break up the space in the open plan living area of my flat and needed more food prep and storage. Works perfectly snd doesn’t take up much space. It’s not fancy but it looks nice, does the trick and cost me just over £100.
We are planning of having a new kitchen fitted in the new year 2023.
One of my kitchen wants is to have a kitchen island. Though it is a nicely proportioned room with the kitchen area currently divided from the dining area by a peninsular unit. The kitchen dining area is just not proportionally large enough to comfortably have an island. We will have to factor in more cooking preparation space.
