Ugh. The last thing I want is for my home to reflect "current styles!"

I want it comfortable, cozy, and sustainable!

Good lighting does make rooms look better, and allows us to accomplish tasks.

But to re-do to follow some trend is a crazy idea to me! And very wasteful.

Equally important - I do not want can lights in the ceiling that shine in my eyes from certain spots in the room - I have sensitive eyes, and that would NOT be comfortable.

Layers are good, and I love star lights (I use colorful paper stars!) and strings of "Christmas" lights are delightful! I prefer my lighting to be arty enough for fun, but still fully functional.

Disappointed that this article gives little attention to energy efficiency. LED lighting is by far the best—expensive to buy, but saves money over the long run, while saving our planet.

The current style is leaning towards more sustainable options, such as LED lighting! There should be more highlighting of the advancements of LED lighting and the vast number of possibilities in LED fixtures!
