Ahhh, mosaics. They can be a highly idiosyncratic choice and could be considered by others as a folly.

I would think carefully about doing this yourself if you are doing this large scale and are not a mosaic artist. Get the advice of a designer before committing to this or maybe paying for some professional input.

I went to one house viewing where the wife had decided to mosaic their high end house. To be honest it put us completely off the house. It is not a good way to find out you have no talent. I have seen some fantastic examples of pique assiette and I am quite enamored of the idea but I would definitely be calling in an expert. I have done some smaller stuff myself and it is so much work - plus all those sharp edges flying around.

Anne-marie that is one funky shower! A fun little space and well executed.

Hi Cathy, Agree completely. I have been doing mosaics for many years and my house is a character home so the only mosaics in there are a few small pieces hanging on the wall. However having a shower in the shed (work area) gave me an opportunity to have a bit of fun with my mosaics.
