That’s a fantastic idea with the mirror! The only prob with bespoke is that you could generally replace it with, name your price!

Thanks Beano. With costs its not always as bad as you think though and if you get a price before starting work or commissioning a piece of furniture at least you know what you are letting yourself in for! With the cupboard above we were already refurbishing the house when we thought it might be a nice idea to do something a bit more interesting with what could have been a lost space over the stairs. Luckily our clients liked the idea and went ahead with it. The shame is most people will never get to see it!!

The thing with this is it really doesn't need to be completely bespoke. my husband utilised the space created by boxing in the shower and toilet plumbing, slotting in slim Ikea kitchen units, which he cut to size. this gives us somewhere to put bleach, toilet brush, spare loo rolls etc without encroaching on our toiletry storage. it also means that chemicala ca be kept out of little people's reach (no grandkids yet, but one day....). The black stripe in the white tiling is three cupboards stacked on top of each other. push openers mean that nobidy has so far guessed it's a cabinet.
